Emotional Shauna Ray Lacey talks about parents' addiction and overcoming adversity

Carlow Rose Shauna Ray Lacey made a lasting impression on the audience in the Dome in Tralee and the nation with her honest interview on Monday night's Rose of Tralee final.
Speaking with Dáithí Ó'Sé, Shauna talked about being the 'Mother Rose', her daughter Emmy, her parents' addiction and how her mother overcame it to be in Emmy's life.
Shauna is the daughter of Angela Ray and the late Francis Lacey and the Carlow woman spoke emotionally about her late father and her parents bravery in making sure their children didn't want for anything growing up.
She began by talking about finding out she was pregnant as a 21-year-old.
