Carlow County Council will make a decision by September 3 on the construction of eleven en-suite bedrooms at Borris House.

A planning application was made back in April of this year seeking permission to carry out works to disused yard buildings to convert to visitor accommodation at the upper yard of Borris House.

The plans would see a change of use from original agricultural use to the provision of eleven ensuite bedrooms including one fully accessible room all within the existing buildings.

The application also includes the demolition of two modern storage buildings to the rear of the premises.
