T Street Live has "closed for the foreseeable future" but efforts are underway for a relaunch.

The venue closed in the last few weeks as it no longer had use of its Tullow Street venue or bar and could not hold gigs there.

In a statement in the last few days, the venue said: "As previously stated – due to circumstances beyond my control T Street Live was unable to hold gigs for the past three weeks.

"After working hard behind the scenes to try to get T Street Live up and running again my efforts have been fruitless.

"T Street Live will be closed for the foreseeable future until such a time a full relaunch is possible.

"Therefore, my hopes to be re-open in October will not be possible. Some of the gigs advertised may still go ahead but will be in a different venue in town (if arrangements can be made) so please keep an eye on our page and we will keep you informed of any updates.

"I would like to thank you for all the support and love shown for the venue and would ask that you continue to believe in and support live music in Carlow. Music changes lives and these venues are YOUR venues, please use them.

"Thank you for all your kind words of support, no words can describe how difficult this has been to work through.

"To see so many lovely comments and encouraging messages - tops up my faith and reminds me why T Street Live is so special and should remain on the map.

"Online Tickets holders for all upcoming gigs will be notified and can get a full refund from (fees included) Hard copy ticket holders purchased at T Street Bistro, please contact me directly 087 2596183 for a full refund. All the best."
