Almost €800,000 has been allocated to nine Carlow projects under Town and Village Renewal Scheme.
The central aim of the scheme is to support the revitalisation of towns and villages in order to improve the living and working environment of their communities and increase their potential to support increased economic activity into the future.
The funding allocations for Carlow breakdown as follows:
Ardattin (digital hub, marketing, tourism info etc) €100,000
Ballinkillen/Lorum (village enhancement, opening of a cafe, tourism) €71,332
Clonmore (community and enterprise hub tourism) €68,732
Grange (village enhancement tourism) €51,218
Kildavin (development of playground tourism) €100,000
Myshall (village enhancement heritage trail, enhancement tourism) €99,207
Tinnahinch (village enhancement, tourism) €99,532
Tinryland (graveyard enhancement, bus shelter, tourism) €100,000
Tullow (village enhancement works, tourism) €96,097
