Burglar caught red-handed in Carlow pub after member of public saw man acting suspiciously

Gardaí went to the scene and discovered a broken window at the front of the premises

A man was caught red-handed committing a burglary in a Carlow Town pub after a member of the public reported a person acting suspiciously in the vicinity of the pub. 

The matter was reported to Gardaí and at around 7.55am on Sunday morning they went to the scene where they discovered a broken window at the front of the premises.

Gardaí went in and found one person inside committing a burglary. 

The male was arrested and brought to Carlow Garda Station where he was subsequently detained and charged with burglary. 

He was released on bail and will appear before a future sitting of Carlow District Court.
