Funding of €140,000 has been provided to Carlow Fire Services to replace four "aging support vehicles" throughout the county, Carlow Live can reveal.

The money has been spent on one van service support vehicle and three Ford Ranger 4x4s and is detailed in Carlow County Council's most recent chief executive's report.

The vehicles have now been ordered with the delivery of the van scheduled for the end of October and the three Ford Rangers coming in December.
