Overgrown trees are causing the problen

An old lady was robbed due to "bad street lighting" caused by overgrown trees, Cllr Andy Gladney has claimed at a meeting of Carlow County Council.

The incident he said happened at St Brigid's Crescent in Bagenalstown and he added that "trees are growing wild up there".

Director of Services at Carlow County Council, Dan McInerney, said the issue was that the trees were growing across the lights and told the councillor that he will have a look at the issue and see what can be done.
