A weather station close to Mount Leinster recorded a gust of 134km/h during Storm Callum, according to www.carlowweather.com

Forecaster Alan O'Reilly added: "Top gust at my station was 99.8km/h which is very strong for my location as my station is low.

"Fastnet Lighthouse recorded a gust of 152km/h and Valentia in Kerry gusted to 118.5km/h.

"Please note Fastnet Lighthouse is offshore and elevated."
