Kennedy Avenue in Carlow Town was criticised in the survey

A councillor has hit out at the Irish Business Against Litter (IBAL) survey of Carlow Town published last week which found the town "moderately littered" and ranked it 35th of the 40 towns and cities investigated.

Cllr Ferghal Browne was speakinig at this month's meeting of Carlow County Council and said: "Carlow was unfairly treated. I don't know when they judge. The reflection of the IBAL report does not reflect the state of play in Carlow."

"I'm sick of IBAL," he added.
