Ballinabranna GFC has submitted a planning application to Carlow County Council as the club is looking to build an extension which includes a smoking area.

The Carlow club is seeking permission for the following: a proposed extension (30msq) which will consist of a new main entrance, storage areas and referee's room to the front of the existing clubhouse.

Another proposed extension (54msq) which will consist of w.c. facilities and a "smoking area to the side of the existing clubhouse".

They're also looking for an extension (41msq) which will consist of a gym to the rear of existing sports hall, proposed interior and exterior alterations, proposed signage to the southwest elevation, proposed 10m high ball stop netting with three supporting poles and all ancillary site works.

A decision is due by Carlow County Council on January 10 of next year.
