Carlow Town Centre
Carlow town received a massive boost this morning when it was announced the town will share in a €881, 500 fund to plan regenerate the town.
Carlow - Kilkenny TD Pat Deering told CarlowLive: "This funding will be used to get the Carlow regeneration plan to the next stage. It is a further sign of the work that has been in Government to regenerate towns right around the country after many years of neglect.
There are two categories of submission, Category A for projects that are ready to go and Category B to support the initial development of projects (master-planning/ feasibility) to ensure a pipeline of projects into the future. This funding has been made available to Carlow under Category B.
The funding has been approved in principal by the Southern Regional Assembly and Carlow will share the fund of €881,500 with two other projects.
