Yoga instructor Tim Dawson and his wife Linda opened their workshop and retreat centre - Mulvarra's Breathing Space last weekend.

The couple moved to the area, just outside the quaint village of St Mullins last year and bought a B&B, Mulvarra House.

They have in recent months converted an existing concrete shed and are hoping to use it as a wellness centre, where people can practise yoga and meditation and also use it as a space for artists' workshops.

The local community were out in force last Friday evening to wish their new neighbours well in their venture.

“We envisage Mulvarra as a space to learn, thrive and grow in the majestic surroundings of magical St Mullins.

“We take a pragmatic approach to yoga: what elements of this ancient science can best be adopted to achieve the maximum benefit for people living a busy and often stressful life.”

The couple also hope to hold a series of talks on nutrition in the centre.

Mulvarra are part of the Visit Kilkenny initiative. As a shared collective, Kilkenny Tourism strives to increase the economic impact of continued investment in Kilkenny’s tourism sector and maximize the audience reach.
