Garda appeal after victim hit with bicycle lock during assault in broad daylight in Carlow

Gardaí have issued an appeal after a man was hit with a bicycle lock during an attack in broad daylight in Carlow Town. 

The incident happened on Kennedy Avenue - where the injured party was walking - when he was approached by three youths and one of the youths proceeded to hit the victim with a bicycle lock across the chest. 

The perpetrator ran from the scene of the assault - which occurred last Thursday, February 28 at 4.30pm.

The suspect is described as between 15-17 years old with fair hair. 

Gardaí in Carlow are investigating and are appealing for anyone with information in relation to the incident or who may have witnessed the assault to contact Carlow Garda Station on 059 - 913 6620.
