Gardaí appeal for information as part of investigation into spate of burglaries in Carlow

Gardaí are appealing for information as part of their investigation into a spate of burglaries in Carlow recently. 

The first incident occurred on Sunday, March 17 between 3am and 5am at Graignaspidóg, Nurney. 

The injured party heard dogs barking and a loud bang outisde but the victim thought it was a galvanised shed-roof banging. 

On Sunday morning, the injured party got up to discover the lock on his garage was forced and a number of items were taken including tools and a transmission box. 

Anyone with information or who have may have seen anything suspicious is being asked to contact Bagenalstown Gardaí on 059 972 1212.

The second incident occurred on Sunday, March 17 at 5.30am in Riverview, Chapelstown Gate, when a couple heard a few loud bangs downstairs and when they went down they found the patio door damaged but no entry had been gained and nothing was taken. 

Their outside light and fence had both been damaged.

Anyone with information or who have may have seen anything suspicious is being asked to contact Carlow Gardaí on 059 - 913 6620.

The third incident occurred at a premises on Dublin Street on Saturday, March 16 between 6pm and 9.25pm. 

There were no obvious signs of a break in but a quantity of cash and jewellery had been taken and two rooms were ransacked.
