Carlow Gardaí investigating after body of women discovered in Bagenalstown

Her body was found on Sunday morning

Carlow Gardaí are investigating the sudden death of a woman in her 40s in Bagenalstown on Sunday morning.

She was found at a house on Barrett Street and pronounced dead at the scene.

Her body has been removed for post mortem to Waterford University Hospital.

Gardaí have told Carlow Live that the incident is not believed to have been suspicious but the results of the post mortem will determine the course of their investigations.
