Planning permission has been granted for the demolition of a portacabin at a Carlow childcare facility and the construction of a new building.
Carlow County Council approved the application from Ballon Rathoe Childcare Facility Ltd this week (November 24 2022).
The project will consist of the demolition of the existing portacabin structure and the construction of a new replacement single storey building on an enlarged footprint.
The building is located to the side of Old National School Ballon (protected structure CW 110).
It will of playgroup areas with associated toilets, changing room, sleeping room and all associated works.
The application was approved with 13 conditions.
