Kilkenny/Carlow Burglary Response Unit seize €230,000 worth of drugs in Ballon

An important seizure
Kilkenny/Carlow Burglary Response Unit conducted a checkpoint on Wednesday afternoon in Ballon, Carlow.

A vehicle was stopped and searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
Eight large vacuum packed packages were seized containing suspected amphetamine with a street value of €230,000.
A male was arrested and detained at Carlow Garda Station under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act 1996.
