Councillor Fintan Phealan calls for more bins to be accessible on busy walkways throughout Carlow to help tackle litter issue

In the most recent Carlow County Council meeting, Councillor Fintan Phealan calls for more bins to be accessible on busy walkways throughout calling to help tackle Carlow litter issue.

He called for more bins to be located "on busy walking routes", such as the O'Brien road and specifically more dog fouling bins in the Pollerton area.

He called for, "Money to be provided in the budget" and said it was "time to take action".

In response to more dog fouling bins being accessible, Shane Casey, environmental awareness officer with Carlow County Council reiterated the message that "any bag, any bin" when it comes to dog fouling.
