Strong winds are expected to develop today (Wednesday April 12) with some severe or damaging gusts possible.
That's according to Met Éireann, which also forecasts showers merging to longer spells of rain with local downpours and the chance of hail and isolated thunderstorms.
Maximum temperatures will be between 6 to 11 degrees, with lows of 0 to 4 degrees tonight.
Elsewhere, Met Éireann issued a number of warnings forecasting severe winds throughout today.
Two Status Yellow wind alerts have been issued with widespread gusts of 80 to 110km/h expected in a number of areas.
The first alert covers Leinster, Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan, Leitrim, Mayo, Roscommon, Sligo, Tipperary, and Waterford from 8am until 8pm tonight, while the second covers coastal areas and areas over higher ground, including Clare, Cork, Kerry Limerick and Galway until 3pm today.
