Gardaí are asking motorists to avoid the area
An incident has occurred on the N80 at Ardristan, between Tullow and N81.
Carlow Fire and Rescue Service have said the stretch of road was shut just before 3pm and will remain so until further notice.
It’s understood a van overturned near the Bang Up Cross but no serious injuries have been reported.
Gardaí are asking drivers to expect delays, avoid the area and to take another route if possible.
