Carlow County Council is advising that temporary traffic restrictions will be place every day until March 15 on the L2012, between its junction with the R727 (Downings) and Brother Leo Park (GAA grounds) at Ballymurphy Road in the town.

The road will be closed to all through-traffic for the duration of the works which will take place between 8am and 4.30pm daily.

Road users are being urged to plan their journeys and to use the diversion routes which will be signposted.
