Gardaí in Donegal are investigating the theft of an ice-cream display (plastic cone) from a premises at the Glencar Shopping Centre on Sunday, May 21.
The theft was carried out by two males and one female at 6.32am. The two males wore their hoods up as did the female. She was wearing a pink hooded top and light coloured tracksuit bottoms. The three in question left the area in the general direction of Dr Mc Ginley Road.
“We are hopeful that somebody will have seen these three on foot with this unusual item as it would certainly stand out,” a Garda spokesperson said. "We appeal to anybody with a dash cam who travelled in the areas of the Circular Road, Dr McGinley Road or Meadowbank to make the footage available to us. If anybody observed the three people in question on foot in that area then we ask them to make contact with Gardaí in Letterkenny on 074-9167100. The Garda Confidential line may be contacted on 1800 666 111.
“We urge people to give that number a call if you know where this item is and you wish to provide information anonymously. Someone must have come across it at this stage and we ask them to do the right thing to ensure that it is returned to the owner.”
