The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has issued an immediate recall notice in relation to 40g packs of Funny Candy Cup Cake Candy sweets due to a possible choking risk.
CONSUMERS are being advised of a safety risk which has been identified in several batches of a popular sweet product which is on sale in Ireland.

"When consumed, there is a possibility of this product breaking and loose pieces of plastic (1.5cm x 3cm) ending up in the mouth," reads the notice which has been issued this Thursday.
The FSAI says recall notices will be displayed at point-of-sale and that retailers have been requested to remove the implicated sweets from sale.
Consumers are advised not to eat the implicated sweets which were produced in China.
The affected batches are KD2349-12-21, KD2577-03-22, KD2828-06-22, KD2972-07-22 and KD3251-08-22
