Taylor Swift Dublin ticket prices dubbed as 'pure greed' by fans

The popstar will be coming to the Aviva Stadium for three concerts next June

IN A WHIRLWIND of excitement, Taylor Swift's highly-anticipated concert tickets hit the Irish market, and fans across the country fell into a frenzy trying to get a hold of them.

Unfortunately, social media platforms soon became a venting ground for frustrated Taylor Swift fans who found themselves empty-handed when trying to secure tickets for her highly anticipated three-night performance at the Aviva Stadium.

The ticket sales officially commenced this Thursday morning for the Dublin concerts scheduled for next summer. However, the joyous rush soon turned into disappointment as, within mere minutes, only expensive VIP packages remained available for purchase.

Adding to the discontent, fans had displayed immense patience by queuing for hours, only to be taken aback by the exorbitant pricing of the VIP packages, which exceeded a staggering €300 per ticket. The most expensive option was priced at an eye-popping €743.62.

In the lead-up to the ticket release, Ticketmaster had promised staggered slots throughout Thursday to accommodate the expected demand. Nonetheless, the reality was that numerous devoted fans were destined to be left without tickets.

It is reported that 30 minutes after the initial release, Ticketmaster issued an update for those still attempting to purchase tickets, revealing that availability was now extremely limited, with the best options being VIP packages.

Upon purchase, ticket buyers were astounded to see additional service charges added to the already exorbitant fees, with some even dubbing it as "pure greed."

Despite the frustrations and disappointments experienced by some, the anticipation and excitement for her forthcoming concerts remain unwavering, as lucky fans countdown the days to her 2024 shows.
