Twitter reacts to Ticketmaster queues: "Coldplay gigs will broadcast on GAAGo next season'

With Coldplay pre-sale tickets for their Spheres Croke Park gigs selling in their thousands today, there were many fans left disappointed, both at not getting a ticket and the experience of trying to buy them online.

Many persevered, having originally been behind thousands in the queue to eventually get to what they thought was the promised land, only for no tickets to be available.

Some of those who had registered for presale tickets have got their hands on the prized tickets - well they have online versions at least, while others have to hope they will be lucky later in the week.

Next up is the promoter presale tickets before the great unwashed, those without any presale codes, will try their luck from Friday morning.

And needless to say there were some witty responses and dark humour on Twitter, or is it X, as people commented on their experiences, successful or otherwise, of queueing for tickets.

Would anyone be kind enough to explain how this whole presale code thing works? Like I’ve gotten through x3 now but not tickets so do I stay on my screen trying until Friday or do I try again tomoro with a new code , this same code, what ?? #coldplaydublin

Today has been an absolute hell. I was queueing for Coldplay tickets 9AM - 3PM, got in for 3 concert dates, just for Ticketmaster to give me error message when selecting tickets, and in the end when I got back in only platinum tickets were left. Worst. Day. Ever. #coldplaydublin
