Gardaí have confirmed that following the discovery of a body, the appeal for a missing man has now ended.
A garda spokesperson confirmed that following the discovery of a body in Dundalk, County Louth, on Sunday 23rd July 2023, the missing person appeal for Jim Webb has been stood down.
The late Mr Webb had been missing for a number of weeks and was last seen on July 1.
The spokesperson said no further information is available at this time.
An Garda Síochána thanked the media and the public for their assistance.
