Services on busy rail line suspended following bridge strike

Irish Rail shared an update

TRAIN services remain suspended between Mullingar and Enfield following an incident.

The latest report from Iarnród Éireann noted that engineers were "en route" to complete an inspection after a vehicle hit a bridge in the area. 

"Services remain suspended between Mullingar and Enfield," they commented via Twitter.

"11:05 Sligo - Connolly held at Killucan crossing point to proceed once bridge inspection has been completed. Update to follow," Iarnród Éireann added.
