Celebrity fitness coach to visit one lucky national school

ONE LUCKY national school is eagerly awaiting the arrival of celebrity fitness coach Joe Wicks after successfully winning a competition for him to visit. 

Wicks who is famously known as "The Body Coach," is no stranger to pushing the boundaries of fitness and engaging with his global fanbase. With millions of followers on platforms like Instagram and Twitter, Wicks has become a symbol of motivation and healthy living.

The body coach put out a tweet last month asking for schools to apply for his tour in a mission to get more kids moving.

Calling all schools in Ireland & Northern Ireland I’ve got some big news!

I’m on a mission to get more kids moving and I’m bringing my Schools Tour back this September.

St.Brigid's National School in Garryowen has been hand picked out of 10,000 other Irish schools to receive a visit from the British fitness coach and social media sensation. 

Marie Fitzgerald of St.Brigid's NS applied on behalf of the school and they were just so lucky to be chosen. 

His tour of schools around the country will reach Limerick on September 28 where he will host a 30-minute workout that the whole school will partake in and a further hour Q&A with students and teachers. 

St. Brigid's principal, Mrs Sarah Ryan said "We are a very active school and we would have used Joe's videos during lock-down to keep the children's fitness up we are familiar with him and we are absolutely delighted that our school was chosen out of thousands of applicants."
