A drunk driver caught travelling 40km/h above the national speed limit has been arrested.
According to Gardaí, Naas Roads Policing Unit (RPU) were carrying out speed checks when they spotted the motorist travelling at 140km/h in a 100km/h area.
They were stopped and Gardaí discovered the driver was disqualified and five times over the legal limit.
Court to follow. No further information is currently available.
