ALERT: Bicycle helmets sold to thousands of Irish consumers recalled due to injury risk

Bicycle helmets sold to thousands of Irish consumers have been recalled due to a major safety issue.

According to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC), Adriaanse Import & Export B.V is carrying out a recall of Dunlop Bicycle helmet (barcodes 8711252416281, 8711252997438 and 8711252997421).

During an incident in low temperatures (-20°C), the helmets can reportedly break and may not protect the wearer against impact injuries.

The helmets come in three sizes: Small, Medium and Large.

There are approximately 3108 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.

They have reportedly been available for purchase since January 2016.

Customers should stop using the product and return it to the place of purchase for a refund. For more information on this recall, please click here or call 0031 40 250 11 11.
