Drugged up driver caught travelling at almost 100km/h past Longford primary school

Gardaí have caught a motorist travelling almost double the speed limit close to a primary school.

According to An Garda Síochána, officers were checking for speech offences in Co Longford around 11am this morning (January 30) when they detected the car travelling 98km/h in a 50km/h zone.

When stopped, they discovered the driver had no insurance and tested positive for cocaine and heroin.

In a statement posted on their official X (formerly Twitter) page, a Garda spokesperson stated: "One day, luck might not be on your side."
