Third time might be the charm for the Dublin comedian

Joanne McNally cancels US tour dates twice due to visa issues

Dublin comedian Joanne McNally has cancelled US tour dates for the second time, due to visa issues.

Joanne was due to perform shows in Chicago, Washington and Philadelphia, but has had to rescheduled twice now.

“Last year I did shows in America and to do that, I had to get a visa which I got. My UK agent and I thought I had a three-year visa because no one actually checked to see what I got,” Joanne said on Instagram. “I applied for a three visa, turns out I got a one year visa which we discovered two weeks ago. We've been trying to get a new working visa in time for these shows and it didn't happen because America is hard to get into.”

The comedian continued with a joke: “The problem is, I just believe what I'm told, so if someone hands me my passport and tells me I have a three-year visa, I just believe that, I don't fact-check anything... I can only apologize.”

The Chicago, Washington and Philadelphia have been cancelled but rescheduled - all shows will now be taking place in March.
