ONE of the counting staff at the Limerick count centre had a flying visit this morning, as a bat came in to vote on the referendums.

Tallyman, Laurence Callaghan, was in for a surprise as he discovered a bat in the count centre.

Rumour has it The Dark Knight landed in Limerick last night.

Mr Callaghan nabbed the bat, which was laying on the floor, before releasing the animal outside - a spoiled vote for the mammals' community.

While the national results won't be officially declared until later this Saturday, unofficial polls so far indicate a No/No result.
