Ecstasy tablets, ketamine, cannabis, Alprazolam tablets and cocaine, with a total estimated value of over €464,000, were seized.
A man has been arrested and charged following a significant seizure of drugs and suspected counterfeit cash during a search operation in Dublin.
As part of Operation Tara, gardai in Blanchardstown assisted by the K District Task Force, along with gardaí from Sundrive garda station conducted a search operation in Drimnagh on Wednesday.
"Approximately 4 kg of ecstasy tablets, 2.4 kg of ketamine, 3.4 kg of cannabis, 4,695 Alprazolam tablets, and 20 g of cocaine, with a total estimated value of over €464,000, were seized," said a garda spokesperson who added that the seized drugs will now be sent to Forensic Science Ireland (FSI) for analysis.
In addition to the drugs, €35,600 in suspected counterfeit currency and drugs paraphernalia were also seized.The suspected counterfeit currency is subject to examination by personnel attached to the Document and Handwriting section of the Garda National Technical Bureau.
A man, aged in his 20’s, was arrested and detained by investigating gardai.
Investigations are ongoing.
