Over 30,000 homes were without power across several counties just before lunchtime on Saturday.
ESB confirmed that Orange and Yellow level winds associated with Storm Kathleen have led to a number of power outages across the country today, predominantly in counties Mayo, Galway, Kerry and Cork.
As of 12.15 pm, approximately 34,000 homes, farms and businesses are currently impacted.
"ESB Networks crews are mobilised in impacted areas and responding to power outages where safe to do so," an ESB spokesperson confirmed.
"ESB Networks is continuing to monitor the situation as Storm Kathleen tracks across the country and weather warnings remain in place. With high winds forecasted into the afternoon, further outages can be expected in impacted areas," the spokesperson added.
Real-time information on power outages and restoration times is available on www.PowerCheck.ie.
"We apologise to all homes, farms and businesses impacted for the inconvenience caused," the spokesperson said.
