Three males charged following seizure of €700,000 worth of cannabis in Roscommon
Gardaí have charged the three men who were arrested on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, following the seizure of €700,000 worth of suspected cannabis plants and cannabis herb at a property in Loughglynn, County Roscommon.
All three men (aged in their 30s) are due to appear before a special sitting of Roscommon District Court this afternoon, Thursday 11th April 2024 at 3.00pm.
On Tuesday, approximately €700,000 worth of suspected cannabis plants and cannabis herb was seized during a search operation in Loughglynn.
While the following day, Gardaí seized approximately €180,000 worth of "suspected cannabis plants" during a search in Fairymount.
Both search operations was conducted as part of ongoing investigations by the Mayo Roscommon Longford Divisional Drugs Unit, under Operation Tara, which targets suspected cannabis grow houses.
According to a spokesperson for the gardai, cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €180,000 were seized by investigating Gardaí.
Investigations are ongoing.
