Gardaí and peers from RSA Ireland caught the motorist after he drove through a checkpoint.

Man disqualified from driving for 20 years caught operating a truck

A motorist disqualified from driving for 20 years has been caught driving a truck. 

According to An Garda Síochána, officers in Blanchardstown, Co Dublin held a joint agency checkpoint yesterday (May 1) with the Road Safety Authority of Ireland (RSA). 

When the driver pulled in to the checkpoint, his disqualification was discovered. 

In a statement issued on X (formerly Twitter), a garda spokesperson said, "Needless to say he did not drive back out again."
