A teenage girl has been killed in a single vehicle crash in Co Wicklow.
The collision occurred shortly before 5am on Sunday at Slaney Park in Baltinglass.
The girl, who was a passenger in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene. No other serious injuries were reported.
The driver of the car, a male youth in his teens, was arrested on suspicion of offences under the Road Traffic Act.
He remained in custody at a Garda station in Wicklow on Sunday afternoon.
The road at Slaney Park remained closed on Sunday to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
Gardai have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
