Bizarre incident as locals save ferret from crow attack on Irish main street
There was a bizarre incident on the main street in Edenderry, Co Offaly this week as a ferret was rescued from an attack by a number of crows.
The story has come to light as a veterinary clinic looks for the owner to come forward.
Acorn House Veterinary Clinic in Johnstownbridge in Kildare posted about the incident on their social media.
They said: "Hi guys, this lovely little ferret was found being attacked by crows on Edenderry main street. He was brought to local vets by a kind member of the public who told them to bring him here.
"Unfortunately he's a little bit far from home! Would be grateful if people could share to any Edenderry friends. Proof of ownership required," the post concluded.
The picture of the ferret, who looks none the worse for wear from his main street skirmish, is now being circulated in local social media groups.
One person replied: "Ahh bless him. Hope the owner is found and doesn’t let him roam this time."
So far, no one has come forward to claim him. If you are the owner, you can find the Acorn House vet clinic on Facebook here.
