Young man attacked by dog in Donegal rushed to hospital

A man aged in his 20s was rushed to hospital after a dog attack between Muff and Quigley's Point in Co Donegal.

Gardaí in Muff were alerted to a report of a man who was bitten by a dog yesterday morning. It is believed the dog is a restricted breed, however An Garda Síochána have not confirmed this.

The man received medical attention for his injuries, which are understood to be non-life threatening. A Garda investigation into the incident is ongoing.

The incident comes following a series of dog attacks reported across Ireland, including the fatal attack of Limerick woman Nicole Morey, who was mauled by her pet XL Bullys
