A second teenager has died following a crash between a bus and an e-scooter in Waterford.
The incident occurred shortly before 2:10am in the early hours of Thursday on the R680 Cork Road in Waterford city.
One teen travelling on the e-scooter was pronounced dead at the scene.
A second teen, who was also travelling on the e-scooter, was taken to Waterford University Hospital with serious injuries. He passed away from his injuries this afternoon.
A technical examination by Forensic Collision Investigators has been completed and the road has re-opened. A Garda Family Liaison Officer has been assigned to provide support to the families at this time.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the Cork Road in Waterford city between 1:45am and 2:15am are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
