A man has sustained serious injuries after a petrol bomb incident in Dublin on Saturday which has left a family without a home.
Gardaí said they were investigating an incident “of criminal damage by fire” at a house in Drimnagh, Dublin 12 in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Gardaí said the man was rushed to hospital with "serious injuries" following the incident, which occurred between 3am and 3.45am, and said his condition has been described as stable.

Local councillor Daithí Doolan described the incident as "unacceptable", adding that a family had been left homeless.
Cllr Daithí Doolan of Sinn Fein, who is himself a local resident, said the family had fled in fear after the "frightening" attack on their home overnight.
"This attack is unacceptable and should never have taken place," Cllr Doolan said.
"The family had to flee in the middle of the night and find shelter elsewhere. It was a terrible incident and has left local people in fear."
Cllr Doolan pointed out the attack was just the latest in a number of "very violent" incidents in the area in recent months.
"We’ve had a fatal shooting, we’ve had a gun attack and now a firebomb attack that has effectively left a family homeless.
"This latest attack is an attack on the whole community in Drimnagh," he added. "And those behind it, those who organised and carried it out need to face the full rigours of the law."
Any person who was in the vicinity of Dromard Road in Drimnagh in the early hours of Saturday morning between 3am and 3.45am and who may have camera footage (including dash cam) is asked to make this available to gardaí.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Sundrive Road Garda Station 01 666 6600, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
Gardai added that investigations are “ongoing”.
