GARDAÍ in Limerick city have arrested one man in relation to the seizure of suspected cocaine and cannabis with an estimated value of €200,000, along with €250,000 in cash.
As part of Operation Tara, the officers attached to Mayorstone Crime Unit arrested a man in his thirties, during the course of a search operation.
During a search under warrant at a number of residential locations in the St Mary’s Park area of the city on Wednesday, July 31, gardaí seized suspected cannabis valued at approximately €100,000 and arrested the man.
In a follow-up search this Thursday, suspected cocaine with an estimated value of €100,000, and €250,000 cash were seized.
The searches were assisted by the Garda Armed Support Unit and the Garda Dog Unit.

The drugs seized will now be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
The man arrested in connection with the investigation, is currently detained pursuant to Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984, at a garda station in the Limerick area.
Investigations are ongoing.
