Kelsey Kenny has been located safe and well
Searches to locate a 15-year-old girl who was reported missing almost a week ago have been stood down, gardai have confirmed.
A national appeal for assistance in tracing the whereabouts of Kelsey Kenny was issued after she was reported missing from her home in Castlepollard, Co. Westmeath, on the evening of Tuesday, August 6.
At the time, gardai said there were concerns for Kelsey's wellbeing but in an update, issued this Monday, they confirmed that she has now "been located safe and well".
In a brief statement, gardai thanked media organisations and members of the the public for their assistance after the appeal was issued.

No further information relating the circumstances which led to her being located have been disclosed publicly.
