Sam Hackett from Dublin has been located 'safe and well'
Searches for a young man who had not been seen for more than six weeks have been stood down, gardai have confirmed.
An urgent appeal had been issued for help in locating 23-year-old Sam Hackett who was reported missing from his home in the Glasnevin/Ballymun area of Dublin 11 since Friday, July 19.
At the weekend, gardaí said both they and Sam’s family were concerned for his wellbeing.
However, in an update, issued this Tuesday morning, they confirmed there has been a positive outcome and that searches for Sam, have been stood down.

"Sam Hackett (23) who was reported missing from Dublin 11 since Friday, July 19 2024, has been located safe and well. Gardaí would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance," read a short statement from the Garda Press Office.
Gardai have not publicly disclosed any information relating to the circumstances that led to Sam being located.
