A man in his 50s who was arrested as part of an investigation involving over €1 million worth of gold has since been charged.
Gardaí seized €1.4 million in gold bullion, €460,000 in cash, and €210,000 in suspected cocaine in a search operation carried out in the Dublin region on Friday 27 September and Saturday 28 September.
The man in his 50s was arrested as part of the investigation at the time, and is expected to appear before a sitting of Blanchardstown District Court later this morning (Monday).
Gardaí attached to the Dublin Crime Response Team (DCRT) conducted the searches of residential and business premises.
In a statement, gardaí said that the drugs found have been sent for further analysis.
Investigations are ongoing.
