Tributes have poured in for a family in Cork after the tragic and untimely death of a young girl.
Heaven Mwasu, from Rathmore Green, Kinsale, co. Cork, tragically passed away earlier this week, and her Kinsale community was left deeply affected.
Heaven was a student at Kinsale Community School, with many students in mourning for the young Cork girl.
In her death notice, Heaven's family announced the news "with a heavy heart", explaining that she was the "beloved daughter of Noela and Kayode, sister to Zuri, and niece of Lulu, Lili and Aidan".
"Taken too soon, and sadly missed by her heartbroken parents, her sister, aunts, uncle, cousins, extended family members, friends, neighbours, school friends, and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing, and loving her," the notice read.
Dozens have already left their heartfelt condolences to family and friends of Heaven, with one former classmate saying she "had the most kindest soul and beautiful smile I have ever seen".
"She never failed to put a smile on anyone’s face. She lit up the classroom with her presence and she will be deeply missed by our classmates in school," the condolence read.
The local community has since rallied around the family, with a fundraiser launched to support Heaven's parents and sister during this tough time.
Neighbour Caroline Jones set up the fundraiser on Thursday, explaining that "we would like to raise money for Noela’s family to help with the funeral expenses and ask the community for their support".
The fundraiser has already raised €12,000 in less than a day, with Kinsale Fire and Rescue donating a sizeable €350.
Funeral arrangements for Heaven will be announced in the coming days.
