Gardaí appeal for witnesses after man (40s) 'seriously injured' in Offaly crash

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses after a man was seriously injured in a crash in Offaly this morning. 

At around 9am this morning, gardaí and emergency services were alerted to a single-vehicle collision involving a car on the L2007 Rahan Road at Ballykeenaghan, near Tullamore.

The driver of the car, a man aged in his 40s, was seriously injured. 

He was conveyed to Midlands Regional Hospital, Tullamore, where he remains in a serious condition.

There were no other occupants of the car or injuries reported.

The Garda Forensic Collision Investigators conducted a technical examination of the scene and the road has since reopened to traffic.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and were travelling in the area between 8:15am and 9:15am are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
