Gardai are investigating after a man in his 30s was found with serious injuries in Co Westmeath.
The male was discovered at approximately 1.10am on Saturday on Grove Street, Mullingar, and was taken to hospital.
The scene is currently undergoing a technical examination and an incident room has been established at Mullingar Garda Station.
Gardai are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
