What are the Met Éireann weather warnings as Storm Herminia approaches?

As Storm Herminia reaches Ireland, Met Éireann are already issuing Status Yellow wind, rain, snow and ice warnings across the country.

While much of the country is still reeling from the impact of Storm Éowyn, it will be Monday before this stormy period passes.

Met Éireann has issued the following Status Yellow warnings given the risk of further damage to already weakened structures and trees as well as dangerous driving conditions and spot flooding.

A Status Yellow snow and ice warning has been issued for Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo and is valid from 8pm tonight, January 25 until 9am on Sunday January 26.

A Status Yellow rain warning has been issued for Carlow, Kilkenny, Wicklow, Cork, Kerry, Tipperary and Waterford and is valid from 5am to 5pm on Sunday, January 26.

A Status Yellow wind warning has been issued for Carlow, Dublin, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow, Munster, Galway, Mayo and Sligo and is valid from 11am to 6pm on Sunday, January 26.

An additional Status Yellow wind warning has been issued for Cork, Kerry and Waterford and is valid from 11pm on Sunday, January 26 until 6am on Monday January 27.
